A man has been arrested after an alleged hit-and-run crash on the M1 on the Gold Coast.

A man has been arrested after an alleged hit-and-run crash on the M1 on the Gold Coast.
Emergency services were called to a single-car crash on the Pacific Motorway near exit 45 at Pimpama around 11.54pm on Tuesday.
A Gold Coast police spokeswoman said their initial investigations showed that a white Toyota Yaris hatchback had crashed before the driver fled the scene.
Police were able to find the man and take him into custody a short time later.
The man was assessed by paramedics and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has CCTV or dashcam footage of the car before the incident to contact them at 131 444.
Investigations are ongoing.
