The fiance of a Gold Coast motocross star and X Games medallist, who died while practising a rare trick, has shared a heartbreaking tribute saying he would’ve been “the most incredible dad”.

Jayden ‘Jayo’ Archer, 28, died on Wednesday after practising a triple backflip, a jawdropping stunt which saw him gain legendary status in 2022 at the Nitro World Games in Brisbane.

Mr Archer was the first freestyle motocross rider to land one – only two other riders have landed it since including fellow Gold Coast daredevil and his close mate Harry Bink

Mr Archer’s fiance Beth King shared a heartbreaking montage video of him to her Instagram story which she captioned “my beautiful, beautiful boy”.

Ms King then posted a video to her Instagram grid which showed the raw moments of them together.

“I have too much to say but yet I still don’t know how to even begin,” she wrote in the caption.

“I could write a book about you but I freeze thinking this is even real and I have to write this.

“The tributes to you have been amazing, everyone knew your talent, and this sport was your identity but I want to show people who I knew, who our families knew.

“To the world you were tough and strong and hard as nail, but with me and family you were soft, gentle, loving, kind and beautiful.

“You were invincible. Get knocked down, get back up twice as strong, physically and mentally.

“If only everyone knew the s**t you went through to reach the goals you did.

“I promise to tell your story properly one day, so everyone understands how much of a super human you were. You were just built different.”

Mr Archer proposed to Ms King in 2022 on the same day he landed the “legendary” triple backflip in competition.

“World’s first triple in a competition and a ring,” Ms King said on an Instagram post on October 24, 2022.

The couple were planning to get married later this year.

Ms King said she was “lucky, to have experienced the love we had” and said “when you know, you know”.

“You would never let anything happen to me. You loved your family more than anything and your morals were incredible,” she said on her Instagram post.

“You wanted to have a family, we were supposed to have those twins. We were supposed to get married. I’m so sorry we didn’t reach those things. You would have been the most incredible dad.

“There will forever be a giant Jayo sized hole in my heart.

“I don’t know how life can just keep going on without you here.

“I love you forever Jayden Archer.”

Gypsy Tales podcast host Jase Macalpine re-shared an interview with Mr Archer and captioned it “we love you and we are going to miss you brother”.

In the interview, Mr Archer shared how he felt in the moments leading up to performing the triple backflip after four years of training for it.

“(I) started my bike, revved the tits off of it and punched myself in my head a few times,” he said.

“I was so stocked and said this is f*cking awesome.”

Mr Archer said he hoped he would be an inspiration to people who are wanting to try new things.

“If I can give inspiration to five people or 50, well then I’ll be stoked,” he said.

“At the end of the day that’s what matters.”

Mr Archer also told Mr Macalpine he once drove an hour home after an accident on the track which broke his neck to drop his bike off before he went to hospital.

“I wanted to drop it off so it wouldn’t get stolen,” he said.

“(By the time I got to hospital) the adrenaline wore off and my ankle was blown up.”

Mr Archer said the hospital scanned his body and sent him to another hospital and they confirmed he had broke his neck.

“They said ‘you got a broken neck, you’re pretty f*cked’,” he said.
