Former Mongols chapter president Victor Wolfram’s latest arrest came with a cheeky surprise for police, who found a bag of meth stashed between his buttocks.

Southport Magistrates Court was told police raided a Nerang home on August 1 and located Wolfram, who was arrested on a return-to-prison warrant.

The 31-year-old was searched at the Southport watch-house, where police found the small bag of methylamphetamine secreted between Wolfram’s buttocks. It was heard the meth was not pure, with the bag weighing 1.17g in total.

Wolfram was also caught with suboxone strips in a plastic container, which he was prescribed but did not have the script for or have them in the proper packaging.

Suboxone strips are a medication used to treat opioid use disorder.

The court was told the former Mongols Surfers Paradise chapter president was on parole and a suspended jail sentence at the time.

Defence lawyer Michael Gatenby, of Gatenby Criminal Lawyers, said his client had an “objectively quite serious” criminal history that included several spates of drug offending, with his latest charges falling at the much lower end of the scale.

Mr Gatenby said Wolfram had employment prospects upon his release, and was looking to reapply for parole soon having already spent 36 days in custody.

“He, by all accounts, had been doing remarkably well right up until that point and it seems he has genuine prospects of rehabilitation, not withstanding this matter,” he said.

Magistrate Sarah Thompson extended the operational period of Wolfram’s suspended sentence by one month, saying it was unjust to activate it and that it would be for the parole board to decide whether he should be released.

Wolfram pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.

He was fined $500.
