Queensland Fire Department investigators were on Saturday probing the cause of a ferocious fire that tore through a two-storey Miami home.

Fire crews were called the blaze, at a house in Lutana Ave, at about 3.45pm on Friday.

A QFD spokesperson said firefighters were at the scene within minutes of receiving the call.

A fire crew remained at the scene overnight in case of flare-ups, while dampening down operations resumed on Saturday morning.

It is believed the fire started in the garage of the house before quickly spreading to the rest of the property.

However a QFD spokesperson said the cause of the fire was yet to be determined, with an investigator at the scene on Saturday working to discover what sparked the ferocious blaze.

Queensland Ambulance Service crews also attended the scene on Friday. A spokesperson said no injuries had been reported.
