A Gold Coast cafe that’s been trading for 15 years has been named the city’s favourite.
Main Beach’s Le Jardin Cafe was voted in top spot by Gold Coast Bulletin readers, with owner Ammish Adu Junior saying he was proud to “bring a touch of Paris to the Gold Coast”.
“Every cup we brew and every detail we focus on is driven by our love for what we do and our desire to create a welcoming space for our community,” Mr Adu Junior said.
“The focus is on high-quality ingredients and artisanal preparation.”
He said their “standout authentic French ambience” was what made them different to other cafes on the Gold Coast.
Le Jardin Cafe’s menu features traditional fare, pastries, breakfast omelettes and French crepes.
The cafe won the annual Best of the Gold Coast competition by just one point, with fellow Main Beach mainstay Hott Shott coming in second.
Substance Espresso at Runaway Bay finished third, Bam Bam Bakehouse at Mermaid Beach finished fourth and Elk Espresso at Broadbeach was fifth.
