Dreamworld is playing Santa, launching a new Wiggles-inspired attraction and opening their newest precinct just in time for Christmas.
The Big Red Boat Coaster is the first ride in Dreamworld’s new family zone called Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland, promising immersive, colourful family fun.
Red Wiggle Caterina Mete said The Wiggles were excited to see the new thrill.
“We couldn’t be more excited for the launch of The Wiggles Big Red Boat Coaster at
Dreamworld. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to bring brand-new Wiggly fun to Gold Coast,” she said.
Dreamworld director of sales, marketing and digital Karla Judge said the Big Red
Boat Coaster rounds out a new era in family fun at Dreamworld.
“It’s the perfect way to complete our beautiful new Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland, which
is designed to bring joy and excitement to families, “ she said.
The new precinct also includes the Big Red Plane ride, a Bananas in Pyjamas Carousel and Play School Wheel from broadcaster ABC Kids.
ABC Commercial’s Jessica Ellis said she was delighted to see the new precinct open.
“ABC Kids’ longstanding partnership with Dreamworld has given families the chance to
make new memories,”
The precinct also includes Kenny’s Forest Flyer ride and The Dreamworld Theatre.
The Wiggles Big Red Boat Coaster and Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland opens from Saturday 23rd December.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO RIDE THE BIG RED BOAT COASTER
REVIEW: As far as accurate reviews go I feel like I may not be the best person to give my thoughts on this ride, but I’ll give it my best shot.
I’m 20 but I grew up watching the Wiggles and as I rode the Big Red Boat Coaster I was filled with nostalgia and getting to go on the ride with Captain Feathersword - well, that was truly a throwback.
I felt a little tall for the ride but as a ‘big kid’, that was to be expected.
A giant beach ball, bucket and spade added to the fun and to be honest, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
While this ride probably isn’t the usual thrilling or heart-stopping action Dreamworld is known for, I appreciated being transported back to my childhood for a few minutes.
I would recommend this ride for parents and their children, or for anyone who is a kid at heart, like me, and wants the nostalgia that only the Wiggles can deliver.
