A man has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after an e-scooter crash on a busy Gold Coast road.

A man has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after an e-scooter crash on a busy Gold Coast road.
Emergency services were called to Marine Parade in Labrador at 5.45pm on Tuesday after a car collided with an e-scooter.
A Gold Coast police spokeswoman said a Toyota Corolla — which was being driven by a 19-year-old woman — was pulling out of Marine Parade when the collision occurred.
The 22-year-old man who was riding the scooter was not wearing a helmet.
Paramedics assessed the rider and rushed him to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition with leg and head injuries.
The police spokeswoman said his condition had stabilised by Wednesday morning although he remains in hospital.
Police are calling for anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to call 131 444.
