Ghislaine Maxwell trial resumes with accuser describing unwanted touching from Epstein’s partner

One of the four accusers in the sex trafficking case against Ghislaine Maxwell has described the physical advances made by the disgraced socialite.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex-trafficking trial has heard claims the British socialite touched the breasts of a teenage visitor to Jeffrey Epstein’s New Mexico ranch while she was getting a massage.

Annie Farmer, now 42, the only one of four accusers to testify using her real name, said she was 16 years old at the time.

Ms Farmer recalled how she lay naked on a massage table at Epsteins’s ranch and claimed Maxwell pulled the sheet down to touch her breasts.

Farmer described meeting Epstein in New York in 1996 when she was 16. She told how Epstein brought her to his “Zorro” ranch in Santa Fe where she met Maxwell and became the victim of unwanted touching by the two.

Farmer told the court she got the impression that the two were “romantic partners.”

In return for her participation in the sex offences Farmer was given expensive gifts and study assistance.

Farmer testified that she was introduced to Epstein by her sister Maria Farmer, who was at the time 25 years old.

Epstein took them to see a Broadway musical and then a movie in New York.

During the movie she said Epstein “caressed” her hand and her leg.

“I felt sick to my stomach. It wasn’t something that I was at all expecting,” Farmer told the court.

Of another trip to the movie theatre Farmer told the court that she was hesitant to go at first, but thought it would be different since Maxwell was there.

They went to see Primal Fear where Farmer says Epstein “tried to hold my hand and caress and hold my foot and my arm.”

While they were waiting to go into the movie, Epstein and Maxwell “were being very playful with each other, kind of grabbing each other,” Farmer told Assistant US Attorney Lara Pomerantz, according to the New York Post.

Maxwell then pulled Epstein’s pants down “a little bit” in front of Farmer, she added.

During the movie, Epstein caressed Farmer’s leg and foot and held her hand as he sat in between her and Maxwell, she said.

Farmer said Maxwell showed her how to give Epstein a foot massage.

The duo also bought Farmer a pair of expensive cowboy boots from a Western-themed store.

When asked if Maxwell gave her a massage she replied: “Yes, she did.”

She described an incident with Maxwell at Epstein’s ranch in Santa Fe: “She told me to get undressed and lay under the sheet and I did.

“She started rubbing my body, rubbing my back and she’s making small talk and then at some point she had me roll over so I was laying on my back.

“She pulled the sheet down and exposed my breasts and started rubbing on my chest and upper breasts”.

Farmer said she had a sense that Epstein was watching them.

She said: “The door to the room was open and I was fearful, especially at that moment. I had this sense that Epstein could see me”.

“I wanted so badly to get off the table and have this massage be done,” she said.

The next morning Epstein suddenly came into her bedroom “saying he wanted a cuddle”, Farmer said. “He climbed into bed and lay behind me and reached his arms around and pressed his body against me”.

Farmer told the court that to end the encounter she went to the toilet and shut the door. She said she had gone to the ranch because she believed she had been invited with other students. While there, she felt isolated and “extremely disoriented.”

Maxwell is accused of grooming young women and girls to be abused by Epstein at his estates in Manhattan, New Mexico and Florida.

She has denied the charges and her lawyers have argued that she is being scapegoated for Epstein’s crimes after the convicted pedophile committed suicide while behind bars in 2019.
