A woman blew twice the legal alcohol limit after her car crashed into a Newcomb pizza shop on Tuesday night, police allege.

Police and paramedics were called to the Brunenzo’s Italian restaurant on the Bellarine Hwy at about 7pm on Tuesday night.

It will be alleged the driver of a white Holden commodore ute was seen driving erratically before slamming into the shopfront.

A 47-year-old Ocean Grove woman was arrested in Moolap and allegedly returned an evidentiary breath test of 0.121.

She has been released pending summons.

Diners escaped without injury.

“They were treated to dinner and a show,” one woman said.

“I think she tried to park but then ran through the front of the shop.

“She then asked a bunch of witnesses to help her move her car.”

It will be alleged the vehicle also “ran through a keep left sign” on a median strip.
