A Torquay carpenter is set to appear on the new season of Big Brother with a romantic twist.

Lewis Beers is a happy, charismatic 26-year-old who likes to challenge heterosexual male norms – while he’s a tradie and a footballer for Anglesea, he loves to paint his nails and play Harry Styles songs on repeat.

This season will feature 15 singles in the Big Brother house competing for a $100,000 prize.

Mr Beers said he worked to live rather than lived to work.

He has a van that he’ll sometimes travel and live out of, so his ideal girl should be a fellow adventure lover.

Mr Beers had his heart broken at 21 and hasn’t been in a relationship since – enjoying the single lifestyle, he lives in a share house behind a pub.

But he is a bit of a romantic at heart and is open to dating in the Big Brother house.

Housemates are cut off from the outside world in a custom-built house, fitted with over 80 cameras and microphones recording their every move 24/7.

Viewers are set to witness multiple hook-ups and breakups as well as house tasks and more.

Mr Beers said while he was “pretty trustworthy and honest,” that may change late in the game.

Colac’s Zach Davis, 22, will also appear on the show.

The house painter said he had been going through a “dry spell” due to the limited population.

He tells girls that he’s a dolphin trainer at Sea World, and has changed his dating profiles to reflect the lie.

He said his strengths were being able to read and manipulate others, but fake people and mess made him angry.

The new season of Big Brother premieres on Channel 7 at 7.30pm on Monday.
