Owner Brad Lamb, who is a former international touring professional, said training indoors was the next big thing in the sport.

“I’ve always wanted to create a place where golfers could become their best and feel empowered, regardless of their standard,” he said.

“The world of golf is quickly moving to a personalised high-tech format where every element

of a player’s state-of-mind and physical approach can be captured, analysed, and coached to

make their game simpler and help them become better golfers.”

The centre will be open to members as well as casual visitors.

The ground floor has five golf simulators, a nine metre practice putting green and another putting green for coaching sessions

On the mezzanine is Australia’s first golf movement and conditioning centre with cardio equipment, personalised online training programs and eight Springys Systems, an exercise tool which helps to improve key areas in a player’s game such as posture, function and dynamics.

Springys System founder Martine Dennis said the centre had been designed to improve a players’ mind and body connection which helps golfers to improve their game and play at their best.

“The beauty of the Springys System is that it works for those who have little or no experience in mind body conditioning, as well as the elite and performance-based golfers,” she said.

There will also be a sports massage therapist at the centre plus a Mizuno store where players can purchase golf equipment and merchandise.

Mr Lamb said he has seen a “massive spike” in the number of people taking up the sport since the pandemic.

The Golf Institute is located at 24 Capital Dr in Grovedale and will open on July 10.
