Serious collision closes Great Ocean Road at Separation Creek
There was traffic chaos on the Great Ocean Road as a serious collision closed the road in both directions between Lorne and Skenes Creek. It reopened shortly before 4pm.

The Great Ocean Road, north of Wye River, reopened on Friday afternoon after a serious vehicle collision closed lanes in both directions.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics responded to reports of a collision in Separation Creek about 2pm.
“One person has been transported by road to University Hospital Geelong,” she said.
As emergency services remained on scene, people travelling on the Great Ocean Road were detoured.
It came as people are expected to flock to the beach for a weekend of good weather and to Lorne for the Pier to Pub swim.
The detour totalled more than 100kms.
Motorists travelling to between Lorne and Skenes Creek were detoured at Lorne via Deans Marsh-Lorne Rd, Birregurra-Deans Marsh Rd, Deepdene Rd, Birregurra-Forrest Rd, Forrest Apollo Bay Rd, Skenes Creek Rd back to Great Ocean Rd.
The detour was the same roads in reverse for those travelling the opposite direction.
A CFA spokesman said five units from Wye, Lorne and Apollo Bay attended the scene alongside Victoria Police.
“Upon arrival, crews found no persons to be trapped,” he said.
“The incident was declared safe at 2.36pm.
“Crews remained on scene to perform a washaway.”
