It’s that time of the year already, the Royal Geelong Show is back.

Fiona Koch, who has a farm in Barrabool, said this year would be her second time showing cattle at the Royal Geelong Show with her husband Jarrod.

“I love it, it’s a really great experience,” said Ms Koch, who will be showing Tavern the heifer and Thinkin Big the bull at the show.

The show’s history dates back nearly 170 years, to 1855.

It is run by the Royal Geelong Agricultural and Pastoral Society Inc.

The society’s president, Tom McCann, said the show aimed to “bring the country to the city” and had something for “absolutely everybody”.

Mr McCann said there would be arena attractions for visitors to enjoy including fireworks, monsters trucks, horse riding and dogs herding sheep.

Visitors can also expect rides, a petting zoo and of course, showbags.
