Readers crown Dr Ailin Teo as Geelong’s best dentist in a landslide vote

Geelong’s best dentist has been caring for the community for 20 years, and says it's a privilege to use her skills and knowledge to treat people and help them achieve nicer smiles.

More than two decades of dentistry in her hometown is something the dentist voted Geelong’s best believes to be a dream come true.

Dr Ailin Teo, of Lovely Dental Care, received 157 of 530 votes from Addy readers for the region’s best dentist.

“I am extremely humbled to have been voted by my patients for this title,” she said.

“I consider it a privilege to serve the community using my skills and knowledge in dentistry.

“My passion is in serving my patients.”

Dr Teo said she first knew she wanted to be a dentist since grade two and studied at the University of Melbourne in the late 1990s.

“Pursuing the practice of dentistry over the past two decades in the Geelong community where I grew up has been a dream come true,” she said.

“I enjoy making patients feel comfortable and safe in my care.

“Good dental health affects many aspects of one’s life including their physical health, self-esteem and general wellbeing.

“Removing pain, creating bespoke strategies for each patient to address dental issues, giving patients the knowledge and encouragement to avoid dental problems, and improving their self-esteem with nicer smiles, are very important.”

“I love being a part of the Geelong community and making a meaningful contribution to it.

“I have seen kids grow up and continue to follow their journeys through life, as generations of families come through the practice.”

Dr Teo said she had encountered many wonderful dentists across the region.

“I want to acknowledge their contribution to the community,” she said.

“Dentists do work collaboratively and share ideas, which can only serve to enhance the wellbeing of the Geelong community.”

The Geelong Addy asked readers to nominate dentists across the region and then they voted for the best of the best.

The top five dentists in the Geelong region, as voted by readers, are:
