Geelong and specialist police kept a close eye on a planned ride by the Nomads outlaw motorcycle gang through the region over the weekend. Here’s how it unfolded.

Victoria Police reported no major issues after the Nomads outlaw motorcycle gang took a trip to the Geelong region over the weekend.
Photos captured the gang interacting with officers outside their Laverton North clubhouse on Saturday morning before taking off down the freeway.
Specialist units and local police had vowed to keep an eye on the planned ride and take “swift action” if necessary.
“Victoria Police will continue to work with other law enforcement agencies as part of a national approach to OMCG enforcement,” they said in a statement on Friday morning.
It came after the Bandidos Outlaw Motorcycle Gang planned a similar run to Ballarat on the same day.
