A man has been charged after allegedly holding up a pub in Lara.
Armed Crime Squad detectives charged a 42-year-old man after two licensed venues were allegedly robbed at gunpoint this month.
Police allege the Woori Yallock man threatened a female Lara Hotel staff member at gunpoint about 5.40pm on August 15.
On Friday morning, it’s alleged the man did the same thing to a female staff member at a licensed venue in Kyneton.
He escaped with cash in both instances, and neither staff members were physically injured.
Police arrested the man at pub on Clarendon St in Melbourne on Saturday morning.
He was charged with two counts of armed robbery, along with possession of a handgun, possession of cocaine and possession of testosterone.
He fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Saturday afternoon.
