A car carrying two children slammed into an Armstron Creek home on Wednesday night in dramatic scenes.
Police have arrested a man, understood to be the Ford SUV’s driver, and taken two children to hospital for observation following the crash, which occurred on the corner of of Eaglebay Rd and Shipstern St around 7.30pm.
One neighbour, who did not wish to be named, said they were “sitting and eating dinner when we heard an all mighty bang and a couple of kids screaming”.

It is believed the house, which suffered significant structural damage, was empty at the time.

Some onlookers said they were alerted to the incident after hearing a loud bang, while others said the power in their homes flickered momentarily.

Skid marks were visible on the road on Thursday morning, with a large hole to the house covered up but surrounded by rubble.
A police spokeswoman said on Wednesday night the exact circumstances surrounding the collision were still to be determined and anyone with information was urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
