A Corio man has been charged with multiple offences in relation to a disturbing attack in a suburban Geelong driveway on Sunday.

A Corio man has been charged with multiple offences following a stabbing in a suburban Geelong driveway in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 26-year-old is alleged to have confronted a man in Britannia St, Geelong West, around 2.45am Sunday, where he allegedly demanded the man’s car keys, attacked him and fled the scene.
The 52-year-old victim was taken to Geelong hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Corio man has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury, attempted aggravated carjacking, conduct endangering life, and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
He has also been charged with aggravated burglary, theft from motor-vehicle, criminal damage, reckless conduct endangering life, intentionally cause serious injury and bail offences relating to incidents in December 2023.
The weekend incident follows an alleged double stabbing on a Newtown St on New Year’s Eve, with detectives charging a 27-year-old male over that incident.
The random assault is alleged to have occurred at the intersection of Mervyn and Stanley streets.
