A host of stars went bananas in Thomson’s 101-point win over Corio, with three amassing 200-plus ranking points and one falling just short.

Thomson ball-magnets Jahd Anderson (37 disposals, 22 contested possessions, 15 inside 50s, 11 clearances, seven tackles, 208 ranking points) and Lleyton Thulborn (41 disposals, 23 contested, 13 clearances, two goals, 204 ranking points) raised the bat for the double ton while Andrew Jarvis wasn’t far behind with 197 points from his 19 disposals, 13 contested possessions and 11 clearances.

But they were all eclipsed by Corio superstar Joel Bennett who was a one-man band for the Devils, finishing with a staggering statline: 43 disposals, 34 kicks, 20 contested possessions, 11 tackles, nine inside 50s and 221 ranking points.

Perhaps the most remarkable part of his performance was that he also booted four of his side’s seven goals for the game.
