A former Big Brother contestant and prominent Geelong businessman is preparing to take a number of parties to court in multiple states over serious alleged fraud and money laundering claims.

Heath Tournier, whose Torquay house was deliberately torched in December 2017, is claiming “millions and millions of dollars” has allegedly been stolen from his bank accounts over more than a decade of systematic fraud and money laundering against him.

Mr Tournier, who has business interests across the country and now lives in Queensland, has filed complaints with New South Wales Police and Victoria Police over the serious alleged breaches, which he claims include loans being taken out in several of his companies’ names using alleged fraudulent signatures.

A spokeswoman from NSW Police confirmed to the Geelong Advertiser a complaint had been made from Mr Tournier in relation to the fraud allegations and an “active investigation” was underway.

Victoria Police is also investigating the allegations.

In a recent Facebook post, Mr Tournier claims a fraudulent signature had been used on several occasions to syphon money from his account.

“That’s my signature on my drivers license,” the post says.

“The other one I’ve never seen b4 (sic) but I can tell you for the last 12 years it’s been pulling millions and millions out of my account and getting loans without my knowledge.”

It comes as Mr Tournier, who shot to fame as a contestant on reality TV smash hit Big Brother in 2005, was almost killed in 2017 during the arson attack on his Torquay home and his family’s luxury Mercedes-Benz.

Bell Post Hill man Sean Mannion was eventually jailed for seven years over the shocking attack after he pleaded guilty to arson and reckless conduct endangering life in the Geelong County Court in February 2020.
