The family of a man who disappeared more than six weeks ago is pleading with the Geelong community for help as police ramp up efforts to find him.
A search is underway for David Lang, 52, last seen in Bendigo on June 3.
His sister, Melinda Kelly, said her brother has not called or messaged her family in more than three weeks as fears grow over his whereabouts.
“We are trying to be positive but we’re obviously concerned,” she said.
“He was sighted in Bendigo but he does frequent Geelong a lot.”
His last contact was by text message on June 23.
Victoria Police released an image of Mr Lang on Tuesday.
It’s understood he may be driving a silver Kia Rio sedan with license plate UFK249.
He lives in Southbank, Melbourne.
“As well as Geelong, David is known to frequent the Melbourne CBD and Bendigo areas,” a police statement said.
It comes just weeks after detectives issued a fresh plea for assistance in the baffling disappearance of a Geelong man, 38, who vanished on April 27.
Father-of-three, Adam, was last seen walking along Bellarine St about 12.30am after trying to get help at the Geelong Hospital.
His bank account and phone have not been touched.
Tearful family told the Geelong Advertiser last month he missed his daughter’s first birthday.
Extensive police land and water searches across Geelong and Melbourne have failed to find him.
Another case has provided hope for both families, with a well-known Torquay man found alive last week after grave fears were held for his safety.
His distraught sons were preparing to face a press-conference about his disappearance when he was spotted on a beach near the Surf Coast town.
Anyone who has seen David or Adam, or has any knowledge of their whereabouts, is urged to Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
