Noah and Frankie McKay have taken home the title of best (and scariest) Halloween costume in Geelong this year.
The Armstrong Creek siblings dressed up as the Headless Horseman with Noah, 8, as the headless body and Frankie, 18 months, as the pumpkin head.
Noah said they chose the costume because he wanted to include his horse Harry.
“I asked mum how we could add my horse into my dress-up,” he said.
“She came up with the idea and painted my horse with the skeleton and we got my headless costume from the shop.
“Having my horse was my favourite part of my costume.”
Noah said it was cool to be able to do a costume with his little sister.
“My favourite part of Halloween was mostly the candy and the costume.”
Mum Breeanah said plenty of people had stopped them while they were trick or treating to take photos of the horse and give it a pet.
“We didn’t luck out on candy that’s for sure,” she said.
Noah and Frankie received 15 per cent of the votes in the best costume competition.
