The Geelong Cup is here and the weather is looking much better than last year’s rain soaked event.
A top of 21 is forecast and it promises to be a great day for those attending.
Last year’s Geelong Cup winner is back in the main event and is $13 to go back-to-back, with Birdman the favourite at $4.
Race one is scheduled for 12.40pm with the Cup set for 4.10pm.

AN EARLY MORNING SCRATCHING
The Chris Waller trained Francesco Guardi (IRL) has been withdrawn from the Geelong Cup.
The seven-year-old was scratched on Wednesday morning with Waller’s runner now expected to target a run in the Moonee Valley Gold Cup on Friday.
It was the second of Waller’s horses to be withdrawn after five-year-old Manzoice was removed on Tuesday.
The field now currently stands at 13 runners.
