The Geelong & District Football Netball League fixture has dropped with four blockbuster twilight matches to kick off the season inside the first three rounds.
A semi-final rematch between East Geelong and Bell Post Hill headlines the opening round of football, with Geelong West Giants will also hosting North Geelong in the first twilight fixture of the season.
Inverleigh won’t unfurl its premiership flag until round three when it faces East Geelong in its first home game of the season Clashes between Winchelsea and North Geelong and Geelong West and Belmont Lions will also be held under lights in the third round.
And there is sure to be plenty of heat in the round five grand-final rematch between Inverleigh and Thomson, after the brutal bump from Ryan Robertson on Tigers superstar Jahd Anderson in the opening seconds of the match that he is yet to recover from.
The league said the NAIDOC week match between Belmont Lions and Geelong West may be moved to a Sunday standalone contest.
