Former foreign minister Julie Bishop clearly knows the power of three — she is about to have a crack at a career hat-trick.
While the 62-year-old soon-to-be ex-MP is tight-lipped now, she has revealed a major move in the works after announcing her departure from federal politics last month.
“I will pursue a third fulfilling career,” she told The Daily Telegraph.

“I’ve had 20 years in the law, 20 years in politics, why not another 20 years doing a whole range of things that drive my passion and my energy?”
Ms Bishop has had a busy week talking at International Women’s Day events across the country this week, but she said achieving gender equality isn’t about quotas or targets, but “changing attitudes”.
“It is an important occasion to focus on women’s achievements and celebrate what women have done and what women can do,” Ms Bishop said.
“But it’s also a moment to have a reality check and see how far we have to go to achieve gender equality in so many important areas.”
Meanwhile, the one-time globetrotter is finally achieving some equality between her work commitments and her life, even finding some time to dig into some pop culture.
She is “not a regular viewer” of Married At First Sight, but Ms Bishop revealed she has tuned in to the popular reality show.
“I have delved into it as I’m flicking through channels and I must admit I was transfixed one night,” Ms Bishop said.
“It’s astounding that it is deemed mandatory viewing in so many circles. Astounding.”
