Connor Poulton (PINT): The Essendon C.C. player did his best to drag his men to a competitive total in a loss, making a tough fought 79 runs off 84 deliveries, whacking six fours and two maximums. He also took a catch behind the stumps.

Lenny Wilton (Darwin): Terrorising PINT’s line-up, the Eagle took 4/35 off his nine over stint, going at 3.88.

NIGHTCLIFF TIGERS 8/123 def. 10/122 DARWIN EAGLES

Connor Poulton (PINT)

Jake Gerrans (Tracy)

The opener was on song at DXC, recording 62 runs off 59 balls, smacking eight fours and one six.

T20 (Round 1) – April 7, 2025

TRACY VILLAGE 4/186 def. 6/143 DARWIN EAGLES

Ryan Walker (Tracy): It didn’t take long for the spinner to hit his straps, taking four scalps for 25 runs in his four over stint.

Sam Elder (Tracy): The local fell just shy of the 50 mark, scoring 44 runs off 34 deliveries, with two fours and a maximum at number three.

Jacob Dickman (Darwin): Darwin’s shining light in the loss, the new captain channelled his inner Brisbane Heat era Josh Brown atop the order. Dickman hit 57 runs from 32 balls, hitting four boundaries and four sixes along the way.

Special Mention – Ralph Stephens (Darwin): The debutant had a day to both remember and forget. Fresh off a shoulder injury in the off-season the teenager went into bat for the Eagles at number seven. Stephens’ inning was over before it even begun, run-out for a platinum duck having not faced a single delivery. The youngster took it in his stride say the following after the match. “That’s the first and hopefully will be the last time that ever happens. It’s not great but that’s cricket and you’ve just got to put these sort of things behind you.”

PALMERSTON POWER 7/128 def. 6/125 SOUTHERN DISTRICTS CROCS

Hamish Martin (Palmerston): The red-ball whiz proved he’s no slouch with the white ball at the weekend. Power’s captain brought himself into the action late in the piece. Martin ended with figures of 3/12 off three, one of which a terrific caught and bowled.

Connor Poulton (PINT): At number four Poulton made a crucial 25 runs off 27 balls. He was also handy behind the stumps taking a catch, a run out and a run out assist.
