Brian Laundrie’s sister has told of the last time she saw her brother as she pleads for him to “come forward and get us out of this horrible mess”.

Brian Laundrie’s sister has called on her brother to hand himself in — and for her parents to “come clean” if they are involved.

Cassie Laundrie also shared details with Good Morning America about her family’s infamous camping trip to Florida’s Fort De Soto Park six days after her brother returned from a driving holiday without fiancee Gabby Petito.

“No, I do not know where Brian is — I’d turn him in,” Ms Laundrie told Good Morning America.

“I would tell my brother to just come forward and get us out of this horrible mess,” she said of the fugitive who vanished days before 22-year-old Petito was found dead.

“I worry about him. I hope he’s okay — and then I’m angry and don’t know what to think,” she admitted of her 23-year-old brother.

“I’ve tried to get in touch with him — phone went to voicemail,” Ms Laundrie said. “I hope my brother’s alive, because I want answers just as much as everybody else.”

Ms Laundrie also said her parents, Chris and Roberta Laundrie, should come forward, insisting that they have also refused to speak to her ever since she last saw them before Petito was known to be missing.

“I don’t know if my parents are involved,” Ms Laundrie admitted. “I think if they are, then they should come clean.”

“They deserve answers,” she said of the loved ones of Petito, who she earlier said her children will know as “Aunt Gabby forever.”

Ms Laundrie said that the last time she both saw and spoke to her brother was a now-notorious camping trip the family took to Florida’s Fort De Soto Park, a key target in the massive manhunt for him.

That was on September 6, after her brother had returned home to Florida without Petito after their cross-country trip, but before Petito was reported missing, on September 11.

“We just went for a couple of hours and we ate dinner and had S’mores around the campfire and left,” she recalled. “There was nothing peculiar about it. There was no feeling of grand goodbye — there was no nothing.

“I’m frustrated that in hindsight I didn’t pick up on anything. It was just the regular visit,” she insisted, saying she immediately told police about it when she realised Petito was missing.

“It was not hidden from law enforcement. I’ve been co-operating with the police since day one,” she said.

She wished her brother had turned to her rather than their parents, who refused initially refused to let law enforcement talk to him — and then waited three days before reporting that he’d fled home on September 14.

“I really wish he had come to me first that day with the van, because I don’t think we’d be here,” she said.

Ms Laundrie also said it was “definitely painful” to see the video of her brother fighting with Petito in Utah during their camping trip.

“It was pretty typical them to argue and try and take space from each other. But people saying that they saw public domestic violence — I’ve never seen anything like that from either of them,” she insisted.

Earlier, Ms Laundrie told a crowd of protesters she doesn’t know if her brother killed Petito.

“We are just as upset, frustrated and heartbroken as everyone else,” Ms Laundrie told the crowd, according to video of the conversation obtained by TMZ.

Asked if her parents had helped their son evade authorities, she didn’t rule out the possibility, telling the group, “I don’t know” and adding that she was “just as baffled and blown away as everybody else” at her family’s public silence thus far.

Ms Laundrie also hinted at familial tension, telling the group that “I’m losing my parents and my brother, and my children’s aunt and my future sister-in-law and you’re not helping”.

“They’re not talking to us either. If I knew, I would say,” she said of her parents and brother.

Ms Laundrie also didn’t rule out the possibility that her brother had murdered his girlfriend, again replying “I don’t know” when asked the question, according to additional footage obtained by NewsNation.

The search for Mr Laundrie has so far been unsuccessful, with local police and the FBI scouring parts of Florida and other US states, as tips about his potential location flood in.

On September 17, Mr Laundrie’s parents told investigators they had not seen their son since September 14.

While Mr Laundrie has not been named a suspect in the murder of his girlfriend, an arrest warrant has been issued for him over allegedly using Petito’s credit card.

Ms Laundrie’s comments come as the relationship between the Petito and Laundrie families continues to sour, with Petito’s parents begging for information on their daughter.

At a press conference earlier this week, the Petito family’s lawyer Richard Stafford was scathing in condemning Mr Laundrie’s parents Chris and Roberta for their lack of co-operation.

“The Laundries did not help us find Gabby. They are sure not going to help us find Brian,” he said.

Taking to Twitter yesterday, Petito’s mother, Nichole Schmidt, urged Mr Laundrie to come forward.

Ms Schmidt reported Petito missing on September 11, 13 days after she last heard from her daughter.

Petito’s parents and step-parents are united in their calls for the 22-year-old’s killer to be found.

Ms Schmidt, along with Petito’s stepfather Jim Schmidt, father Joe Petito and stepmother Tara Petito thanked law enforcement earlier this week and people around the world for their support and helping find Petito’s body.

Each family member showed off new tattoos, which they said were designed by Petito. The tattoos read “Let it Be” and “Believe”.
