Two girls aged just 14 are in court over a shocking alleged crime carried out in the middle of a weekday morning. Here’s what we know.

Two 14-year-old girls have been charged over an alleged knifepoint robbery.
Three women in their 30s were walking toward the McEwan Street footbridge in Mooroobool about 10.30am on May 14 when they were approached by two girls and three boys, police say.
One girl allegedly attempted to steal one of the women’s bags while another threatened her with a knife, before the other older women intervened.
A 14-year-old Mooroobool girl was charged with one count each of robbery in company and attempted robbery in company.
A 14-year-old Edmonton girl was charged with one count of robbery with violence, in company whilst armed.
Both teens appeared in the Cairns Children’s Court on Friday May 17.
They were remanded in custody and are scheduled to reappear in court next month.
