The finest food and drink from Far North Queensland will be on offer when foodie extravaganza Taste Port Douglas returns later this year.
The food festival will for the first time include restaurants in Cairns and Palm Cove across the four-day event from August 8 to August 11.
“We’re incorporating a lot more restaurants into the festival this year, so it’s nice to get a really broad range of talent and to represent the whole region,” event director Reina Patrick said.
CC’s Bar and Grill and Paper Crane from Crystalbrook Bailey will host events, along with fine dining hotspot Tamarind and Palm Cove’s multi-award winning Nu Nu.
The event will include long lunches, masterclasses and spectacular dinners.
It will come to an end on August 11 with a foodie paradise “festival village” at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort in Port Douglas, set against the stunning backdrop of Four Mile Beach.
Ms Patrick said the regions were keen to show off as much food and drink as possible.
“It’s not about a (particular) theme, it’s about coming up here and having some of the best restaurants in Australia hosting dinners, masterclasses and cooking demos in a spectacular food festival over four days,” Ms Patrick said.
Tickets go on sale from May 1 at www.tasteportdouglas.com.au
