A shed has been destroyed and two residences have been damaged in a structure fire at Woree on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services responded to reports of a structure fire on Alberta Drive at 4.40pm on Thursday afternoon.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman confirmed four crews attended the scene.
“We responded to reports of a shed on fire,” the spokesman said.
“There was substantial structure damage to the shed and minor damage to the house and granny flat.”
The spokesman confirmed everyone was out of the property on arrival.
On scene, QFD crews urged residents to keep clear of the fire due to safety concerns.
“There were some explosions from gas bottles,” the spokesman said.
The QFD spokesman confirmed the fire was brought under control around 5pm.
“It was under control as of 5.05pm and extinguished at 5.25pm,” he said.
Police and ambulance crews also attended the scene.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed two crews remained on standby to check the firefighters in breathing apparatus, however there were no concerns for anyone involved.
“It’s just standard procedure when the firefighters are in breathing apparatus,” the spokeswoman said.
