A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after an alleged assault, prompting police to appeal for public assistance in piecing together the moments leading up to the attack.
Emergency services were called just after 9pm on Sunday May 18, after the Cooya Beach man was allegedly attacked by someone known to him after leaving a Hancock Street address.
He was found a short time later by front line workers on Ravizza Drive in Edmonton and was transported to Cairns Hospital.
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital spokeswoman said the patient was in a stable condition.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything or who has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area to come forward as the investigation continues.
