Cairns police have put out a call for information on several vehicles that could be connected to a shooting in Edge Hill last week.
It comes after the alleged shooter, Mathew Bionda, appeared in a Townsville court earlier this week.
Police allege two vehicles collided on Collins Ave last Thursday, March 28, before Mr Bionda shot a man in the leg.
Both men and a woman travelling with the wounded man then left the scene, triggering police to lock down part of the suburb.
Detectives are now seeking any information or dashcam footage of four vehicles – a black Audi TT (registered 113IW3), a white Subaru CrossTrek (registered 672IP8), a black Honda station wagon (registered DG88HP), or a white Toyota Hiace (registered 814ZLV).
Police believe the vehicles may have been seen around Pease St, Greenslopes St or Collins Ave between 9am and 2pm.
Mr Bionda, a 35-year-old from Varsity Lakes, appeared in the Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday.
He was charged with acts intended to maim, disfigure, or disable and contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically.
There was no application for bail and his matter was adjourned to May 30.
A 43-year-old man was found by police later on Thursday, March 28, with a non-life threatening single gunshot wound to the leg.
He has been charged with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
