A man is in a life-threatening condition after falling from a ledge at Crystal Cascades in the state’s Far North.

A man is in a life-threatening condition after falling from a ledge at Crystal Cascades in the state’s Far North.
Emergency crews have transported the man to Cairns Hospital after he sustained head injuries for falling down an embankment.
It is understood the man was traveling towards the Cascades when he slipped from the ledge.
The Queensland Fire Department (QFD) were onsight and conducted a rescue operation, just after 3pm on Sunday.
“A man has fallen 3m down an embankment, we have been able to get him on a stretch and will be walking him out,” a spokesman from QFD said.
Residents had reported seeing several ambulances rushing towards Crystal Cascades, with lights and sirens, just after 3pm.
Cairns Hospital confirmed on Monday morning, the patient has since been discharged from hospital.
