Car flips on roof along Kennedy Highway, Mareeba

Three people, including a young child, are being assessed by paramedics following a two-vehicle crash on the Kennedy Highway at Mareeba on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services responded to the crash at 12.34pm, with reports one vehicle was flipped on its roof.
“One of the cars is on its roof however there were no entrapments and the car is on the side of the road. Multiple people were being assessed by paramedics. Police have been called in for traffic control,” the Queenlsand Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed three patients were being assessed with no serious injuries at this stage.
“All patients are stable. We’re checking a man in his 50s, a woman in her 20s and a young child. So far, no serious injuries,” the spokeswoman said.
Queensland Police were on the scene to direct traffic.
