A PILATES guru with over 10 years of experience has opened up a new studio with spaces being booked fast.

Jane Brewer who runs Train with Jane Pilates has moved locations to Align Yourself where they opened doors just before Christmas.

“The space is brand new and it’s got a fully equipped studio, it has lots of good equipment,” Ms Brewer said.

The new local boutique studio can be found at 13/ 6-8 Charlotte Cl in Woree.

It couldn’t have come at a better time as a Pilate’s craze has inspired locations to open up across FNQ and around the globe.

“When I first started working in the pilates (industry) there was only one or two and now there is quite a few. People are loving it, there is enough to go around,” Ms Brewer said.

Quarantines, working from home and our digital lifestyles have forced us to spend a lot of time in front of a screen.

“Pilates is really good for strengthening the posterior chain and stabilise muscles,” Ms Brewer said.

She has 25 sessions a week including reformer arc, mat work, semi-private and private classes.

“This is something we will grow as the studio gets busier,” Ms Brewer said.

“I’m filling up really quickly, there is still a few spaces left!”
