A terrifying multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-trailer left a woman trapped in an SUV and caused serious disruptions on a major road.

A woman was trapped in her vehicle after a semi-trailer ploughed into two vehicles, leaving a major road shut in both directions.
At about 3pm on Monday a semi-trailer rolled and collided with two vehicles on the Bells Line of Road at Kurrajong Heights, northwest of Sydney
The truck was left lying on its side across the busy road, forcing it to close and for diversions to be put in place.
A woman in her 50s was trapped in her Toyota SUV but later rescued by CareFlight paramedics.
She was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The truck driver, believed to be a man in his 40s, extricated himself from the vehicle and was uninjured.
A third driver of a Ford SUV was also unharmed.
Five ambulances attended the scene close to Bellbird Lookout.
Motorists have been urged to avoid the area or allow for extra travel time.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
