The body of a woman, believed to be missing 27-year-old Heather Brooke, has been discovered in Sydney’s outer northwest.
A police search for Ms Brooke, from Glendenning, was launched after her family reported her missing last week when she failed to return home and couldn’t be contacted.
She was last seen about 1pm on Friday, December 1 at a home on Amy Close in Glendenning.
Police held concerns for Ms Brooke’s welfare as her disappearance was “out of character”.
Police officers from Mount Druitt Police Area Command began a search for Ms Brooke and discovered a body in Schofields about 12.30am on Tuesday.
While the body is yet to be formally identified, it’s believed to be the missing 27-year-old.
Initial inquiries suggest her death is not suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
