Search after man killed in hit-and-run in Chermside

An elderly man has died after being struck by a car on his morning walk. Police are searching for the vehicle involved.

A man has died after being struck by a car in a suspected hit-and-run.

Emergency services were called to Kittyhawk Drive and Murphy Road in Chermside, Brisbane at about 5.15am on Thursday after receiving reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

The man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, in a critical condition. He died a short time later.

Police are searching for the vehicle involved and the investigation is ongoing.
