A young man who was allegedly fatally stabbed during a violent rampage at a bus stop in Melbourne’s southwest is being remembered as the “sweetest and most humble kid”.

A young man who was allegedly fatally stabbed during a violent rampage at a bus stop in Melbourne’s southwest was a rising star in the modelling world.

Nathaniel Mwanza, 24, died after he was allegedly fatally stabbed by two men in Wyndham Vale about 8pm on Wednesday.

Police were called to the bus stop on Haines Dr following reports of an altercation.

Mr Mwanza was treated at the scene but died from his injuries.

Police allege two people fled the scene along Vaughn St before first responders arrived.

Police are investigating the death, with officers believing Mr Mwanza was sitting at the back of a bus travelling south on Haines Dr when two men got on and sat near him.

The three became involved in a conversation before a fight allegedly then broke out between them.

Mr Mwanza has then gotten off the bus at the next stop but the two men followed him.

Police will allege the fight continuing on the nature strip outside a home on Haines Dr, near Vaughan Chase, before the stabbing.

Homicide Squad Detective Inspector Dean Thomas said they way Mr Mwanza died was “concerning”, the Herald Sun reported.

He urged anyone with information to contact police.

“(The two men) are dangerous given they’ve shown their propensity to commit this type of crime,” Inspector Thomas said.

“Anyone that knows the identity of these two, we ask that they come forward because they will have friends, associates and family.

“I’m sure the offenders would have spoken to others and perhaps told them about what they’ve done.”

Police believe the pair are of Asian descent and both were wearing caps.

One offender was seen wearing a white t-shirt with blue dark jeans and runners, while another was wearing dark clothes, including a dark coloured jacket.

Mr Mwanza is being remembered by friends as family, with one person writing on social media that he was the “sweetest and most humble kid”.

Mr Mwanza has modelled for major brands, including Nike, Champon, Realism and Hype DC.
