Man dead after horror collision involving car, mobile crane truck in Sydney’s northwest
A horror crash between a mobile crane truck and a car has ended in tragedy despite an early rescue attempt by emergency services.

A man has died after his car collided with a mobile crane truck in Sydney’s northwest.
Emergency services were called to the scene on St Marys Rd in Berkshire Park on Tuesday morning.
At 7.15am Fire and Rescue NSW confirmed a rescue operation had commenced while NSW Ambulance paramedics also arrived at the scene.
“NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the car driver, but they died at the scene,” a NSW Police spokesperson said in a statement.
The truck driver, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory testing.
He did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
A crime scene has been established at the site while officers await the arrival of specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.
Helicopter footage captured by 7 News shows a crumpled car near a truck on the other side of the road, with debris strewn across the road.
