A man has been left fighting for life after allegedly being attacked with a machete during a horror armed robbery ordeal.

A man has been left fighting for life following an alleged horror machete attack in the Lower Blue Mountains region of NSW.
Emergency services were called to Emu Rd in Glenbrook about 10pm on Friday following reports of an armed robbery, NSW Police said in a statement.
A man, 18, was treated by paramedics for stab wounds to his face and legs.
It is understood a machete was used during the alleged robbery before the 18-year-old was set upon.
The man was flown to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
Officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
Police are understood to have spoken with several other people.
It is not known what proceeds were taken from the victim or how many people were allegedly involved in the robbery.
