Police are appealing for public assistance following the alleged stabbing murder of a 24-year-old man in Brisbane last week.

Police are appealing for public assistance following the alleged murder of a young father who was allegedly stabbed in a Brisbane food court last week.

Seyram Kwami Djentuh, 20, was charged with the murder of Lauie Michael Tagaloa, 24, following the alleged stabbing at Fortitude Valley on Monday, July 11.

Officers are now asking for help to locate a man as part of an investigation into the murder of the young dad, who had recently celebrated his daughter’s first birthday.

Operation Uniform Mechanical, which was established following the incident, has identified a man police believe can help with their inquiries.

He is described as aged in his late 20s to early 30s, caucasian in appearance, between 180-190cm tall with a proportionate build and brown or ginger-coloured hair and beard. The man has tattoos on his neck, left hand and a distinctive bird tattoo on his left forearm.

On the morning of the alleged murder, the man was wearing a beige “LA” cap, black pants, Nike runners and a black Adidas T-shirt, along with a light coloured hoodie and a bright blue puffer jacket.

They are hoping he may be able to assist with their inquiries.

Police are appealing to the man, or anyone who may recognise him, to come forward.
