Traffic on a busy Sydney road was brought to a standstill this morning after a hotel went up in flames.

A hotel in Sydney’s inner west has gone up in flames, sparking early morning commuter chaos.
Firefighters were called to the Bath Arms Hotel on the intersection of Parramatta and Burwood Roads in Burwood just before 6am, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Parramatta Road was closed westbound following the blaze, with traffic being diverted to Burwood Road according to Live Traffic NSW.
“Avoid the area and use an alternative route,” the alert stated.
The fire has since been contained, with roads now reopened and traffic starting to flow again.
“Parramatta Rd has reopened westbound at Burwood following this building fire, and traffic’s returning to normal,” Live Traffic Sydney posted to X.
“Emergency services are still on site so continue to exercise caution.”
