Four men arrested over alleged string of violent armed carjackings across Sydney
Police have issued a major update following an alleged spree of armed carjackings across Sydney, where drivers were allegedly forced out of their cars at gunpoint.

Four men have been arrested over an alleged string of armed carjackings across Sydney.
Police allege drivers were confronted by the alleged thieves at gunpoint and were forced to hand over their vehicles.
Investigations were launched over four separate incidents, all of which occurred earlier this year.
During one incident, on January 27, two masked men allegedly approached a Volkswagen Golf GTI on Blaxland St in Lalor Park about 10pm.
The driver and passenger were allegedly threatened with a firearm and hammer.
The unknown men allegedly demanded they exit the vehicle before getting in and driving away.
On February 3, three masked men allegedly approached a man in a Toyota Hiyace on Gibbons St in Oatlands at 11.20pm, demanding he get out of the car.
Two other similar alleged incidents occurred on June 20 and July 5, where a Toyota 86 was allegedly taken on Seven Hills Way in Baulkham Hills and an Audi Q5 on Richmond Rd in Blacktown.
Subsequent investigations led police to three addresses on Thursday in South Wentworthville, Cranebrook and Parramatta.
A 22-year-old man was arrested in South Wentworthville and was later charged with nine offences including robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon and drug supply.
He was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Local Court later that day.
Police also arrested an 18-year-old man at a Cranebrook address and charged him with five offences including participating in a criminal group.
He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with five offences including two counts of aggravated take/drive motor vehicle with person in/on it-armed with weapon, two counts of robbery while armed with dangerous weapon and participate criminal group.
Both a 17-year-old and a 21-year-old were arrested at a Parramatta address.
They were taken to Merrylands Police Station, where the man was charged with three counts of aggravated take/drive motor vehicle with person in/on it-armed with weapon and participate in criminal group.
The boy was charged with aggravated take/drive motor vehicle with person in/on it-armed with weapon, larceny, possess prohibited drug, participate in criminal group and breach bail.
The 21-year-old was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Friday and the 17-year-old will appear before a Children’s Court.
