Some Sydney residents trying to make their way home will have a longer commute with urgent repairs halting trains on the T1 and T9 lines.
Transport for NSW is blaming “urgent signal repairs” at Wynyard station as the reason behind the delays on the T1 North Shore and Western line and the T9 Northern line.
The organisation has taken to social media to ask commuters to allow for 15 minutes extra travel time, however, the issue has persisted for over half an hour.

One commuter who was forced to abandon her attempt to get home via train after waiting at North Sydney Station said that there were hundreds of people on the platform affected by the issue.
She says that commuters were given another reason behind the delay.
“The guard announced the wait time would be 10 minutes and then said that there was a train broken down at Milsons Point,” she said.
“He then told everyone to catch the bus to Town Hall.”
There’s not yet any indication of when services will resume.
More to come.
