Boy, 11, knocked out in trampoline accident and flown to hospital

An 11-year-old boy in a trampolining accident in North Sydney has been flown to hospital in a serious condition by CareFlight crews.

An 11-year-old boy is in hospital in a serious but stable condition after he was knocked unconscious while jumping on a trampoline in North Sydney. Boy seriously injured on home trampoline flown to hospital

CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter flew the child from Lionel Watts Park in Frenchs Forest to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead at 2.20pm after the accident at a home in Davidson.

NSW Ambulance road crews on scene provided initial treatment to the boy, who regained consciousness.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic provided further treatment for the child’s head injuries, intubating the boy and placing him in an induced coma to stabilise his condition.

The boy was transferred to the helicopter and flown to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead under ongoing treatment with CareFlight’s medical team.
