Rail commuters have faced long delays Wednesday peak hour after a woman was struck by a train at an inner-Brisbane station.

Emergency services were called to Boggo Rd Station in Dutton Park after 3:30pm, after a woman in her 20s was hit by a train travelling on the Gold Coast line.

She was taken to Princess Alexandria Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.

The power currents on the station’s rails were cut as police investigated the situation, causing many trains to skip the station as a result.

Boggo Rd Station has since reopened.

People at Boggo Rd station have been treated for shock.
