THE parents of missing man Kane Dadson have confirmed that a body found in a lake in Melbourne's east is their son.

THE parents of missing man Kane Dadson have confirmed that a body found in a lake in Melbourne's east is their son.

Grant and Lorraine Dadson formally identified their son today.

Ringwood Senior Detective David Perryman confirmed the identification and said the coroner would establish a cause of death.

Mr Dadson went missing in the early hours of Sunday after he left Ringwood nightspot Club Dakota about 4.10am.

Police divers found the body shortly after 1pm on Wednesday in Ringwood Lake.
