Cold plunges are growing in popularity but a group of brave women in Torquay is taking it to the next level and baring it all.
Wellness coach Cobie Higgins who runs the nude ocean swim says it’s a powerful celebration of “self-acceptance, body liberation and female connection.”
On Saturday ‘Embrace’ is being held for the fifth time in Torquay, its exact location changes each month and is only shared with participants prior to the event.
“I just wanted to give women a safe space because I know how empowering and liberating it can be.”
Ms Higgins says the event is growing in popularity, with 22 women registered for Saturday.
The group starts fully clothed on the sand with a grounding exercise to help calm any nerves before heading into the ocean.
The dip is followed by a hot drink and a laugh at a local cafe.
“I was initially a little bit nervous to put it out there, but it has really taken off.
“The feedback has been amazing.”
Ms Higgins says the inclusive event welcomes women of all shapes and sizes and walks of life.
Participants range in ages from their 20s to 70s.
To join these daring women for their winter dip in June search ‘Wellness with Cobie’ on Instagram.
