Model Annalise Braakensiek’s will left her estate to friends and family but nothing to her estranged stockbroker husband.

Braakensiek drew up a new will a few weeks after the pair split and, just seven months later, she was dead.

While the reason behind the 46-year-old actor and model’s untimely death inside her inner city apartment in January remain a mystery, the contents of her will shows how much she valued her friends and family.

At the time of her death, friends told media Annalise Braakensiek was devastated by her marriage breakdown.

She showered them with the bulk of her estate, including her one bedroom apartment on Victoria St, Potts Point, and her interests in “insurance policies” and “superannuation funds”, the will said.

Her mother, Vera Stevens, was left “all of the china I received from my maternal grandmother”.

Braakensiek’s body was discovered inside her apartment on Victoria St, Potts Point, and authorities believe she died some time between January 2 and 6.

In the months since, there has been dispute over whether Braakensiek took her own life, died of an accidental drug overdose, or an alternative cause of death.

NSW Police only said there were “no suspicious circumstances” surrounding the death.

At the time of her death, friends told media that she was devastated after splitting from husband, finance worker Danny Goldberg, after 16 years of marriage.

Braakensiek confirmed the split to media in April 2018.

One month later, the cover girl and animal rights activist, drew up her will while living in the $6 million Bellevue Hill mansion of flamboyant Sydney businessman “Big” Jim Byrnes.

Braakensiek was close friends with Byrnes’ wife Gina, although she and Jim were not mentioned in the will.

Mr Goldberg was also not mentioned in the four-page document.

Braakensiek cut financial ties with Mr Goldberg in July 2018 when their Bondi property was transferred to his name following an agreement between the pair in court.

In December 2018, Braakensiek paid $600,000 for a one-bedroom Potts Point apartment and moved in around that time.

In her will, the model appointed close friend, finance worker Malcolm Day, as the executor of her estate and the apartment has now been transferred into his name, according to property records.

Braakensiek also wrote that she left her cherished collection of crystals to four of her friends.

Her jewellery, clothing and personal effects were left to eight people listed in the will, among them her friend of more than two decades, Sydney restaurateur Bill Granger.

The total value of her estate was not detailed in the will.

Instead, Braakensiek wrote that the “entitlements in my superannuation” and “interest in any insurance policies” were to be left to five people, including her brother Johannes Braakensiek and sister Deva Braakensiek, both each to receive 30 per cent, and friend Georgina Gardener, 10 per cent.

Known for her striking Nordic looks, Braakensiek’s successful career as a model and magazine cover girl stretched for about 25 years.

She was also known for her acting part on the SBS comedy Fat Pizza and was later known for her work promoting animal rights, veganism and mental health.

Kings Cross police investigated and have since provided their report to the coroner, which concluded there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the model’s death.

This means NSW Coroner will now make a finding as to the reason and cause of her death, and also whether an inquest will be required.

The matter will next be mentioned in the NSW Coroners Court on November 15.

Shortly after her death, claims emerged that Braakensiek committed suicide. Her friends disputed this and said she was the victim of a “hideous” accident, caused by an overdose of sleeping pills.
